Join us for Wednesday Evening Prayer at 6:30 pm

We gather at the church on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm to worship and fellowship together.  Worship is intended as a supplement to Sunday worship and is about 15-20 minutes.  It includes liturgy, scripture readings, and prayer.  Scripture readings are taken from the denomination's daily prayer lectionary, and all elements are included in the Book of Common Worship:  Daily Prayer Edition (1993).  The easiest way of referencing this material is through the Daily Prayer App for iOS (iPhone and iPad) or Android.

The app provides opportunities for private daily prayer four times a day (morning, midday, evening, and close of day).  Scripture readings for the first three times of day are the same for that day and are taken from a two year cycle.  In these two years, one who prays daily will read the New Testament twice, the Old Testament once, and the Psalms multiple times.  The Close of Day passage is very short.

As we continue to address the challenge of COVID-19, we, also, offer the opportunity to join us by conference call.  Dial 978-990-5110 and use access code 749966# (including the # sign) when requested.  Please do note that this may incur long-distance charges depending on your carrier and plan.  If you don't have access to the app, we can also email the liturgy to you.  Contact Wendi in the office if you'd like to be added to this list.
